MX204 is a Juniper MX204 chassis with 3 fan trays and 2 power supplies incl. Junos. The SDN-ready MX204 Universal Routing Platform is a cloud-grade routing platform that offers you ultra-high density and throughput in a space- and power-optimized package. The MX204 addresses the emerging edge and metro Ethernet networking needs of service providers, mobile, web-scale operators, and MSOs by delivering 400 Gbps of throughput in support of high-density 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE interfaces—all in just one rack unit.

IR	-IR suffix in the license name.	• All Layer 2, Layer 2.5, and Layer 3 features. • Up to 32 Layer 3 routing instances of the virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) instance. The VRF support includes Layer 3 VPN (L3VPN).
R	-R suffix in the license name.	• Full-scale Layer 2, Layer 2.5, and Layer 3 features. Scale is determined by the hardware capabilities.
